Autumn Garden Festival

Convertibles, claret ashes and canapes – the Autumn Garden Festival was amazing.
The perfect weather set off the best autumn foliage spectacle in a
decade, with tens of thousands out and enjoying the day.
We kicked off early with oysters and champagne at the launch of the
autumn Adelaide Hills Magazine (Mikyla does it well), with the RE/MAX
and Trees For Life gift of 10,000 packets of Hills native plant seeds
proving very popular.
Then we loaded up the car from the terrific garden stalls.  So many
exciting garden items were available, including excellent peony and
iris selections.
The sensational Glenalta open garden was inspiring with stunning 160
year-old Lombardy poplars.  Or was it a Lord Of The Rings filmset?
A historic Georgian two story homestead with giant elms, secret
gardens, lilly of the valley, daphne and bright red tupelos by the
lake was a gardener’s dream come true.
Thank you to the Stewarts for graciously allowing so many people from
the community to enjoy your wonderful property.
